Welcome to The Claremont Colleges Library

On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to The Claremont Colleges Library! We provide inspiring, scholarly, dynamic, connecting, and inclusive environments devoted to excellent user experience that help ensure our faculty and students succeed. The library serves the colleges as a vital physical and digital hub for research, teaching, and learning, and as the academic center of the consortium. Driven by powerful strategic initiatives and an exciting facilities’ master plan, together we’re building a Next Generation Vital Library for The Claremont Colleges.

I encourage you to visit the Collaborative Commons, Digital Tool Shed, Research Studio, and Keck Active Learning Classroom in the Honnold/Mudd Library. View extraordinary special collections, rare and unique Asian materials, and Active Print programs. Check out course reading materials, reserve a group study room, or find a quiet space to study. Take in our latest exhibition, participate in a workshop, or attend a lecture. Socialize in the Honnold Café with friends or colleagues. And online, access millions of print and digital resources via our discovery system, The Claremont Colleges Digital Library, and Scholarship@Claremont, our digital publishing platform and institutional repository.

Perhaps you’re interested in employment in the library? We post open librarian and staff positions to The Claremont Colleges Services’ web site and also offer a dynamic and rewarding Student Assistant program.

Our purpose is to assist you in filling your information needs. If you have a quick question, drop us an email or stop by our main service desk. Also check out our FAQ and online tutorials. And if you’re seeking deeper assistance with a research project, schedule an appointment with a subject librarian. Remember that we’re here to help.

I look forward to seeing you in the library!
