When an item is kept past a certain point, it is marked lost and a replacement fee is added to your Library account. These fees apply to all students, faculty, and staff and unpaid replacement fees will pause your borrowing and renewal privileges until the issue is resolved. You can pay replacement fees by debit.
The Claremont Colleges Library offers Community Access and Community Borrower Cards for visitors age 16 and older who are not affiliated with The Claremont Colleges. The Community Borrower Card provides access to Library spaces and borrowing privileges for physical materials held within the building. Borrowing does not include requesting Resource Sharing (ILL) items, accessing e-resources.
Yes! Groups from The Claremont Colleges and the wider community are welcome to visit the Library. College-sponsored groups can request orientation tours, information literacy instruction, or general access by completing the Affiliated Visiting Groups Form. Public or community groups can request a visit using the Unaffiliated Visiting Groups Form. There is no cost for orientations or instructional.
