Tech Lending

COVID-19 Updates
  • TCC students, faculty, and staff may borrow any items from tech lending for up to 28 days using walk-in or curbside pick-up.
  • Alternatively, if you live more than 25 miles from Claremont and in the continental United States, you may request to borrow by mail, items with a market value of up to $600 USD. Some additional restrictions apply. Information about which items are available for pickup and mailing are included in each section below.
  • Submit requests for mailing or pick up via the Technology Request form or via the “Get this Item” button from within Library Search (each item is linked to the Library Search records below). The latter option will automatically fill in the form for you. Be sure to choose your preference regarding mailing or pickup when the form prompts you to answer the question “How would you like this item delivered?” If you want the item mailed you will need to provide your mailing address in the next field.
Borrowing Items

The library offers a variety of different media equipment and emerging technologies for checkout as a service to current Claremont Colleges students, faculty, and staff. The full list of available items can be found by browsing through the category pages listed below.

  • Each item can be checked out for a period of 28 days while classes are remote (formerly 4 days).
  • Each item is available only to current Claremont Colleges students, faculty, and staff who have a valid library account.
  • Each item is  checked out on a first-come, first-served basis at the Services Desk (Mudd 2, Claremont Colleges Library). Check the availability of an item by searching for its name in Library Search.
  • An optional consultation is available to patrons who wish to receive an orientation on how to use any of the items in the Tech Lending Program. Patrons who wish to have this orientation should email library@claremont.edu to set up an appointment.
  • First-time borrowers need to read and sign the Claremont Colleges Library Technology Borrowing Agreement.
