The library partners closely with 5C and 7C initiatives across The Claremont Colleges. The Center for Teaching and Learning, Digital Humanities Research Grant, EnviroLab Asia, and the Office for Consortial Academic Collaboration all have offices located in the library.
The Claremont Colleges Center for Teaching and Learning exists to enhance teaching and learning at The Claremont Colleges. Visit their website to learn more about their mission and services, to find useful teaching resources and get connected with upcoming events. The Claremont Colleges Center for Teaching and Learning is made possible through a generous gift from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Digital Humanities @ The Claremont Colleges strives to create a sustained and integrated system of support, training, and research implementation that will not simply ‘bring DH to Claremont,’ but will make the consortium a model community of learning where digital humanities methods and tools inform the work of humanities scholars and students at all levels.
EnviroLab Asia is a laboratory for cross-disciplinary research and experiential learning that links knowledge with practice with an aim to engage communities and explore what comes out of the intellectual exchange between the humanities and social sciences, environmental analysis, and various other fields to generate new scholarship about environmental issues in Asia. This 5C initiative is funded by the Henry Luce Foundation’s LIASE (Luce Initiative on Asian Studies and the Environment) Program, which focuses on East and Southeast Asia.
The Office of Consortial Academic Collaboration works to develop and maintain effective, efficient, sustainable, and enduring cross-campus academic collaborations among The Claremont Colleges.
