What is a DOI (Digital Object Identifier)?

A DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, is a string of numbers, letters and symbols used to permanently identify an article or document and link to it on the web. A DOI will help your reader easily locate a document from your citation. Think of it like a Social Security number for the article you’re citing.

How do I request a film/streaming video?

What is Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)?

Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is a free e-reader application for mobile devices, laptops, and desktops. You may use Adobe Digital Editions to read DRM protected eBooks from the Internet Archive.  Download ADE (opens in a new tab) ↗ from the Adobe website. ADE requires a self-designated user name and password. You can use any email address.

What are the benefits of contributing my work to S@C?

Scholarship@Claremont is designed to work with search engines like Google and Google Scholar to increase the discoverability of content. Materials housed in the repository can be viewed by a global audience and are more likely to be read and cited than works located in a subscription journal or database. Additionally, each work in the repository.

What is a preprint/postprint final manuscript?

Many of the items in S@C are preprints, or post-print final manuscripts. These are versions of articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. Preprints and final manuscripts have the same content as the final version, but the formatting may look a little different from the published journal. We recommend that our authors consult Jisc's.
