Are you finishing a term paper? …starting a senior thesis? …using Library resources in your work? …interested in winning a CASH PRIZE?
Get recognized for your amazing work by applying for The Claremont Colleges Library Undergraduate Research Award (LURA)! The award is accompanied by a cash prize and recognizes exemplary, original student work demonstrating skill and creativity in the use of Library and information resources.
The award is open to projects in various formats by individuals or groups, as long as all applicants are undergrads currently enrolled at one of The Claremont Colleges and the work was done for a class or independent study at The Claremont Colleges. You don’t even have to be finished with your paper – works in progress will be accepted! The most important part of your submission is the reflective essay where you will discuss meaningful connections with the Library through the use of its spaces, staff and/or resources.
Submissions are due Friday, March 7th, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. You can review examples from prior LURA award winners by visiting our institutional repository, Scholarship@Claremont.
