Directions and parking instructions for getting to the library

Directions to the Library

The Library’s address is: 800 N. Dartmouth Ave, Claremont, CA 91711

  • Take the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10) to Exit 47: Indian Hill Blvd.
  • North on Indian Hill Blvd for 1.5 miles
  • Right on 8th Street until it ends at Dartmouth Avenue
  • The library is straight ahead.
  • Take the Orange Freeway (CA-57) north to the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10)
  • Exit East onto the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10) to Exit 47: Indian Hill Blvd.
  • North on Indian Hill Blvd for 1.5 miles
  • Right on 8th Street until it ends at Dartmouth Avenue
  • The library is straight ahead.
  • Take the Foothill Freeway (I-210) to Exit 50: Towne Avenue
  • South on Towne Avenue for 0.9 miles
  • Left on Foothill Blvd / Historic Route 66 for 1.5 miles
  • Right on Dartmouth Avenue for four blocks
  • The library will be on your left, at the intersection of 8th Street and Dartmouth Avenue.

Guest Parking

  • Street parking is available on Dartmouth Ave for Library visitors unaffiliated with the colleges.
  • All campus parking lots are designated for current Claremont Colleges students, faculty & staff only.
  • Visitors to the library must obtain a free temporary parking pass from Campus Safety to park in one of the lots.

Handicap Parking

  • There are 2 designated handicap parking spots in the Southeast parking lot adjacent to the Library. The entrance to this lot is on N Columbia Ave between N. College Way and E 10th Street. There is an accessible pathway from these parking spots that leads to the South entrance of the Library
