Apply by March 3rd to the Library Undergraduate Research Award

February 21, 2024

Are you finishing a term paper, starting a senior thesis or using Library resources in your academic work? Interested in winning a CASH PRIZE? If so, keep reading!

You can get recognized for your amazing work by applying for The Claremont Colleges Library Undergraduate Research Award (LURA)! This award recognizes exemplary, original student work demonstrating skill and creativity in the use of Library and information resources.

LURA is open to Spring 2023 – Spring 2024 projects in various formats by individuals or groups, as long as all applicants are undergrads currently enrolled at one of The Claremont Colleges and the work was done for a class or independent study at The Claremont Colleges. You don’t even have to be finished with your paper – works in progress will be accepted!

LURA submissions are due Sunday, March 3rd, 2023 by 11:59 p.m. – while that date likely seems far away, we encourage you to get started on your application now.

You can review examples from prior LURA award winners by visiting our institutional repository, Scholarship@Claremont.

For more information – including the elements required for submission – visit the award homepage or contact the LURA committee via email at LibraryResearchAward@claremont.edu with any questions.
