Are you a music scholar, student, or performer interested in diving deeper into music research? Consider pursuing your project with financial support here at The Claremont Colleges Library. The Roland Jackson Memorial Music Research Fellowship is an opportunity to spend time pursuing on-site research with music resources found in Special Collections. We are particularly interested in researchers who are studying the main subject areas of the Roland Jackson Collection:
- performance practice
- early music
- 19th-century music
- film music
- computer music studies
Awards of up to $1,500 will be based on the overall promise of the research project; the research project’s focus in subjects reflected in the Roland Jackson Collection; and the significance of The Claremont Colleges Library Special Collections to the work. The on-site research period must run for at least five consecutive days.
Any researcher, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, performers, or independent scholars, is eligible to apply.
The deadline for 2019 fellowship applications is June 30, 2019. For more information, visit the fellowship page on the Special Collections website.
