While students are enjoying their summer, the library continues to update its facilities to provide the most dynamic and welcoming spaces possible. “Keck 3,” our third floor classroom, is currently under construction to bring it in line with our other active learning spaces, such as the second floor Keck Classroom. We’re adding flexible furniture and updated technology so that teaching and learning in all library classrooms can be an active, customizable experience. This renovation will enhance the student and faculty learning experience in the library.
In addition, we are increasing seating on our second and fourth floors by 24%. The 57 new seats will make it easier to find a place to study during crowded times of the semester. One of those “seats” is a second treadmill desk, sponsored by the library’s student advisory group, the Board of Student Stakeholders (BOSS). Look for our new treadmill desk and the updated furniture when you return to campus in the fall!
