Logging In to Your Special Collections Account Just Got Easier!

Are you a researcher at The Claremont Colleges (TCC) with an active Claremont Colleges single sign-on (CAS) credential? If so, your experience logging into your Special Collections account just got simpler!

When requesting materials from Special Collections at The Claremont Colleges Library and the Ella Strong Denison Library at Scripps College, you will now be able to access your existing Special Collections account by using your CAS username and password. This change was made to remove the need for active CAS users to create a separate account when requesting materials, helping to streamline your experience.

This means that rather than seeing this when you visit the sign-in page: You will now see this and select the “Login via CAS” button to use your CAS credentials:

PLEASE NOTE: CAS users new to the online Special Collections request system will be prompted to complete the account registration process using their CAS credentials.

As you can see, the new Special Collections account sign-in page features two login options – one for active Claremont Colleges CAS users and one for other researchers. All researchers without active CAS credentials, including researchers from outside of TCC, will use the “Other Researchers” login option and continue to set up new accounts in the online request system using a username and password of their choice.

For questions about this new login process, please contact Special Collections at specialcollections@claremont.edu or Denison Library at denison@scrippscollege.edu.
