Ask Us Anything about “Open” & Be Entered to Win a Gift Card

October 12, 2020

October 19th – 26th is International Open Access Week. To celebrate, we are hosting a week-long campaign for the Claremont Colleges community: Ask us anything about “open” (open access, open data, open education, and you could win one of five $15 Amazon gift cards!* (Fine print below.)

Open access to scholarly information is the free, immediate, online access to the results of research, and the right to use and re-use those results as you need. Open access has the power to transform the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted. It has direct and widespread implications for academia, medicine, science, and industry as well as for society as a whole. Many members of The Claremont Colleges participate in the sharing widely of their research and scholarship via the principles of open access.

Jennifer Beamer (Scholarly Communications Librarian) and Jeanine Finn (Data Science & Digital Scholarship Coordinator) will answer your questions about all things “open” throughout this week. Join us!
